As a staple of science fiction, robot characters have appeared in a wide variety of media, including video games. Some games allow the player to play as a robot, while others simply have robot NPCs.

Examples

In MOTHER: Cognitive Dissonance (2009-2014), one of the protagonists is Larice, a member of a line of robotic soldiers called Starmen.

In System Shock (1994), the main antagonist is an artificial intelligence named SHODAN.
